Propaganda in Advertising
In this Bud Light commercial there is 2 propaganda techniques shown. The first one is used by using a famous well known celebrity in the commercial, Will Ferrell. It makes it were more people can be interested and want to watch it more. Secondly they use the movie the actor is in to sale and market their beer, which is Semi-Pro. And then even at the end of the commercial the voice over in the back doesn't even mention the beer, he just says the movie's release date. This is a great commercial to showcase propaganda techniques.
Internet
I love the internet, period. It is probably the best invention ever to me. What i most use it for is social networking and entertainment!
Of course when myspace came out while i was in middle school i was obsessed with it, and then came facebook which i love. I think it is a great way to communicate with friends and family. Everyone can see what your up to or how your feeling and you get to share your favorite videos and pictures. The best part is picking out the cutest picture of me to put as my default :)
Other than that for my entertainment i love sports they are my life, so what i use is ESPN, Yahoo Sports, Dallas Cowboys, San Jose sharks and San Francisco Giants homepages.
As for shopping, i love to go on the cool websites and look at clothing but i do most of my buying in the stoeres because i am way to picky and don;t know if those clothes online are a perfect fit.
And news i just use Yahoo.com because all the news comes in here when the East Coast gets it, so i know exactly when everyone else knows.
And for people being obessed with the internet, my girlfriend!
It really is ridiculous, Facebook always stays on, online shopping constantly, and always on Tumblr and checking other websites. I really don't get it, i love the internet but i don't see the use of being on Facebook 24/7, it drives me crazy!

MOVIES (:
The best hands down in 2010, was The Town. Writen by and starring the main actor Ben Affleck. Incredible screenplay, great acting, and wonderful storyline. It just keeps you wanting more and more throughout every scene. Every scene justs captures you and leaves you on your feet thats what i loved most! The only downside is that i was not able to catch this movie at the theaters and had to settle in watching it on dvd.

But other than that favorite movie, my favorite of all time is, Achorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy!
Wasn't that great of a movie, but my favorite actor is Will Ferrel and this is hilarious and a great comedy. I love all of his movies from Elf to Ricky Bobby to Step Brothers, but this is his best one by far. You laugh harder than you ever have in any movie as have I did!

Books
My 3 favorite books of all time so far are, To Kill a Mocking Bird, Les Miserables, and The Ousiders.
As you can tell these are books that i have read over my course of years are through school. I cannot lie but I don't really enjoy to read or like to do it for fun, but I did when I was supposed to in school , and others that interested me. Such as entertainment magazines and online websites of my favorite sport teams.
In 8th grade is when i read the novel, The Outsiders. I loved it becuase it talked about kids our age, it was a great story and just drew me in page by page. It is even one of my mother's favorite movies and books of all time. It is something that people just love.
Then going onto high school is when i fall in love with the book, To Kill a Mickingbird. I love learning about our history in America and love just detailed stories about big stories here also. It was great to read about blacks and whites back then and all the different stories but the way this book described every detail of how low society was about blacks was really intrigueing and it told me a great amount and was very meaningful I just couldnt resist in loving it. Great novel about racism.
And lastly was my senior year in high school when i read the long novel, Les Miserables. People may hate it or not mind it at all, but i read every page of it, and is seriously my favorite book I have ever read. Knowing the great story of another country how this guy Jean Valjean had 2 lives going from town to town impsong in the book as all these different characters was amazing. It is a great book that i will always remember!

Media Impact
One of my favorite rappers of all time is Lil'Wayne. In our time today he is known as one of the greatest rappers ever. The reason why I listen to these rappers today is simply because I just love the music, even though there's times were I prefer to just listen to R & B. Although he may be one of the greatest rappers to me, he is very double sided in our society. He is a loving father and husband, a great musician, an idol from growing up in the streets and then to others just someone who goes against the law, has problems with drugs and alcohal, has too much tattoos, uses too much cuss words, and talks about sex and all these things in his music. To me, yes he may say innaprprioate stuff in his lyrics, but parents and and children should know what their listensning to, because it's to take it out of their lives at a young age. He really is great at what he does. Rap is an artfom, and hes very creative. He is one of the only rappers I've heard from that just makes music at the top of his head and doesn't have to write at all. Media has blew him up and many other rappers just because of their lyrics in their music, but we shall see the sales once his newest album releases this year, The Carter IV.
